چکیده

|We present a deception analysis for HH older functions. Our approach uses a decomposition on the Haar basis , which reeects in a natural way the HH older structure of the function. It allows to relate the deception, the HH older exponent, and some parameters of the genetic algorithms (GAs). These results prove that deception is connected to the irregularity of the tness function, and shed a new light on the schema theory. In addition, this analysis may assist in understanding the innuence of some of the parameters on the performance of a GA.

Genetic Algorithms and Walsh Functions: Part II, Deception and Its Analysis

Part I considered the application of Walsh functions to the analysis of genetic algorithms operating on different coding-function combinations. In this paper, those meth ods are extended to permit rigorous analysis of deception by considering the expect ed disruption to schema processing caused by different genetic operators. Algebraic extensions of these metho ds are considered, and a sensitiv...

AERO-THERMODYNAMIC OPTIMIZATION OF TURBOPROP ENGINES USING MULTI-OBJECTIVE GENETIC ALGORITHMS

In this paper multi-objective genetic algorithms were employed for Pareto approach optimization of turboprop engines. The considered objective functions are used to maximize the specific thrust, propulsive efficiency, thermal efficiency, propeller efficiency and minimize the thrust specific fuel consumption. These objectives are usually conflicting with each other. The design variables consist ...

Multimodal Deceptive Functions

This pap er presents a static analysis of deception in multimodal funct ions. Deception in a bipolar function of unitation (a function with two global optima and a number of decepti ve attractors) is defined, and a set of suffic ient conditions relat ing function values is obtained. A bipolar decept ive function is also constructed from low-order Walsh coeffic ients. Multimodal functions of bou...

Adaptive Group Mutation for Tackling Deception in Genetic Search

In order to study the efficacy of genetic algorithms (GAs), a number of fitness landscapes have been designed and used as test functions. Among these functions a family of deceptive functions have been developed as difficult test functions for comparing different implementations of GAs. In this paper an adaptive group mutation (AGM), which can be combined with traditional bit mutation in GAs, i...

Finding the Optimal Path to Restoration Loads of Power Distribution Network by Hybrid GA-BCO Algorithms Under Fault and Fuzzy Objective Functions with Load Variations

In this paper proposes a fuzzy multi-objective hybrid Genetic and Bee colony optimization algorithm(GA-BCO) to find the optimal restoration of loads of power distribution network under fault.Restoration of distribution systems is a complex combinatorial optimization problem that should beefficiently restored in reasonable time. To improve the efficiency of restoration and facilitate theactivity...
